My first professional experience, working as a horticultural advisor in a garden centre. Day to day, I advised customers on plant selection, soil, watering, pruning, and seasonal care, kept the plant inventory healthy and well presented, and helped people choose the right tools for their outdoor projects. It taught me how people actually use and care for green space, how plants behave once they leave a drawing, and how much a clear, patient explanation matters. That practical knowledge now feeds directly into how I think about planting design and maintenance in landscape projects.
